Molasses Cookies

Molasses Cookies

  • 1 1/8 cup oil
  • 3/8 cup molasses
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 t ground cloves
  • 3/4 t ginger
  • 1 1/2 t cinnamon
  • 3/4 t salt
  • 3 t baking soda
  • 3 cups unbleached all purpose flour

Mix the oil, molasses, eggs and brown sugar together until well combined. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients. Bake at 375 for 5-8 minutes (enjoy the wonderful aroma as they bake), cookies should be soft and chewy. Cool on rack.

Make frosting by combining powdered sugar with a little water until desired contistancy.
